Sadly missing from the polices of Labour, National, and the views of the New Zealand Herald editorial on childcare, are the interests of our children.
The primary focus ought to be on what is in the best interests of our children, not how more mothers can be persuaded away from their children and into the workforce to serve "the economy" and the interests of employers desperate for cheap labour.
There is ample evidence that children benefit enormously from full time parental care.
